Description

Join Cross Country Education as a Special Education Teacher and create a learning environment where every student feels supported, empowered, and capable of reaching their potential throughout the school year in the Bronx, NY.

Position Overview 

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students in grades 6-12, adapting lessons and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans, accommodations, and classroom supports that promote student progress and academic success.
  • Maintain an active, hands-on presence in the classroom by proactively addressing student needs and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and school staff to support student development and achievement.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Valid New York State Special Education Certification
  • 3+ years of special education teaching experience preferred, with experience supporting middle and high school students
