Job Responsibilities
- Proficiently utilize information system computer functions pertinent to job duties.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in laboratory testing, demonstrating responsibility and accountability.
- Follow section procedure manual meticulously to facilitate workflow for other personnel.
- Analyze proficiency testing samples as per instructions, completing within designated time frames.
- Assume departmental responsibilities when supervisor is absent.
- Thoroughly document patient results and related records.
- Perform urgent procedures within established turnaround time goals.
- Exercise sound judgment and independent thinking in result interpretation, including delta checks.
- Monitor and address outstanding workload in pending and result logs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A 2 Year/associate degree is required.
- A 4 Year/bachelor's degree in medical technology is preferred.
- A State of Florida Technologist License is required OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
Additional Information:
