The responsibilities also include:

  • Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure proper implementation of treatment plans.
  • Conducting diagnostic evaluations of clients' functional capabilities using specialized tests for muscles, nerves, and joints.
  • Adeptly assessing the home environment for therapy adaptations and making recommendations to enhance client independence.
  • Administering therapy services, including manual therapeutic exercises, non-manual activities, and physical agent applications such as traction and massage.
  • Fitting and adjusting orthotic and prosthetic devices as needed.
  • Proactively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings for comprehensive care planning.
  • Documenting clinical records thoroughly, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Consulting with clients and families to educate them about therapy protocols and device utilization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves clients who are recovering from injuries, surgeries, or various health conditions that compromise mobility. Our clientele often includes elderly individuals requiring support with age-related challenges as well as patients who wish to regain independence after acute medical events. The therapist will leverage a patient-centered approach, focusing on individual goals to facilitate better healing and recovery outcomes.

  • A commitment to clinical excellence and patient advocacy.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with a strong background in home healthcare or similar settings are preferred. A history of effectively working within an interdisciplinary team and demonstrating outstanding communication skills will set candidates apart as ideal fits for our culture.
