    Infrastructure Operations Engineer- Core Services
    Location: Canton, Massachusetts, United States (Hybrid)

    The Technology Group (CTO) is responsible for delivering and managing global technology services, covering areas such as architecture, infrastructure, operations, and compliance. This role sits within Infrastructure Operations, focusing on the deployment, maintenance, and operational management of core IT infrastructure.
    A role you will love
    The Infrastructure Operations Engineer is responsible for the delivery, deployment, maintenance, support and optimisation of the core IT infrastructure. The role ensures that standard products and services are implemented efficiently and that systems remain reliable, secure, compliant and performant throughout their lifecycle.
    Other key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
    Deployment & Delivery
    • Deploy, configure, and automate infrastructure solutions aligned to approved architecture and standards
    • Support project transitions into production and execute changes through governed processes

    Maintenance & Support
    • Monitor infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, and capacity
    • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative actions
    • Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities
    • Support incident, problem, and change management processes
    • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
    • Collaborate with vendors and support disaster recovery planning and execution

    Security & Compliance
    • Enforce security best practices (patching, access control, system hardening)
    • Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and audit requirements
    • Support vulnerability management and security assessments

    Success Measures
    • Timely, compliant delivery of infrastructure deployments with increasing automation
    • High availability and performance aligned to SLAs and operational standards
    • Effective incident resolution, ticket management, and process adherence
    • Strong documentation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency
    • Positive audit outcomes, security compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction

    What will you bring to the role?
    Functional Knowledge
    • Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL), including capacity planning, SLAs, and service operations
    • Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure domains (servers, networks, storage, cloud, automation)
    • Ability to define and implement operational and technical procedures

    • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
    • Ability to align technology solutions with business needs
    • Experience working in global, cross-functional environments (financial services experience is a plus)

    Technical Expertise
    Core Skills
    • Strong hands-on experience with Dell EMC storage platforms (PowerMax, PowerScale, ECS) and SAN technologies, including provisioning, zoning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
    • Strong hands-on experience with backup and recovery technologies, including Rubrik , covering policy management, backup operations, recovery testing, and data protection administration
    • Enterprise infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, cloud platforms)
    • Virtualization (VMware, Nutanix)
    • Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID)

    Proven Experience
    • Delivering and supporting complex enterprise infrastructure environments
    • Driving automation and operational efficiency
    • Infrastructure security, access management, and compliance
    • Incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery execution
    • Proven experience supporting enterprise storage estates, with a strong focus on Dell EMC products and SAN environments in business-critical operations
    • Proven experience supporting enterprise backup and recovery services, with a strong focus on Rubrik and resilient data protection in business-critical environments

    Qualifications (Preferred)
    • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
    • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Nutanix, Linux, or storage/data protection
