Job description

Job Summary:
Computer World Services Corp. (CWS) is seeking a Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Engineering Team Lead who will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all cybersecurity engineering and security infrastructure operations. This role requires senior-level technical expertise and involves managing complex multi-site support operations while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and protecting Government networks.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide day-to-day management of CSSP Engineering and Security Infrastructure teams across multiple locations and enclaves.
โ€ข Lead high-visibility cybersecurity engineering initiatives and mission-critical support operations.
โ€ข Act as technical SME and decision-maker for cybersecurity technologies, policies, and enterprise security architecture.
โ€ข Conduct structured quality reviews and ensure all engineering work meets Government standards.
โ€ข Apply comprehensive technical expertise across major tasks and security engineering activities.
โ€ข Oversee and guide cybersecurity program performance, recommending improvements and major technical changes.
โ€ข Supervise engineering teams and oversee junior staff performance.
โ€ข Independently perform functional duties across high-impact assignments.
โ€ข Engineer, implement, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure, including:
โ€ข IDS/IPS, firewalls, perimeter defenses
โ€ข Endpoint Security System (ESS)
โ€ข Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
โ€ข SIEM technologies (e.g., ArcSight)
โ€ข Network monitoring and forensic toolsets
โ€ข Zero Trustโ€“aligned technologies
โ€ข Provide 24/7/365 monitoring, security analysis, event correlation, incident response, and penetration testing.
โ€ข Monitor tools to detect and mitigate internal/external threats including malware, web attacks, unauthorized access, and data exfiltration.
โ€ข Maintain real-time situational awareness across all assigned enclaves.
โ€ข Serve as central point of contact for Computer Emergency Response.
โ€ข Perform incident investigation, reporting (internal/external), coordination, and resolution.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with DoD Computer Emergency Response Team (DoD-CERT) directives.
โ€ข Operate and manage enterprise vulnerability scanning solutions (e.g., ACAS).
โ€ข Perform monthly scans, IAVA management, remediation actions, and reporting.
โ€ข Maintain secure configuration baselines using DISA STIGs and NSA guidelines.
โ€ข Execute SRRs/security scans and validate compliance.
โ€ข Review and approve all new equipment and system deployments across enclaves.
โ€ข Configure hardware/software for DoD-approved ports, protocols, and services (PPS).
โ€ข Perform security audits for servers, endpoints, network devices, and infrastructure components.
โ€ข Maintain continuous compliance with DoD Evaluation Scoring Metrics and JFHQ-DODIN guidance.
โ€ข Establish and maintain a cybersecurity program that aligns with:

โ€ข DoDI 8510.01 (RMF)
โ€ข DoDD 8140.01 (Cyberspace Workforce Management)

โ€ข DoD Zero Trust requirements
โ€ข STIGs and IAVA directives
โ€ข Develop and maintain documentation including:
โ€ข Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
โ€ข Acceptance of Risk (AOR)
โ€ข Security Override Letters (SOL)
โ€ข Configuration Management documentation
โ€ข Network and system architecture designs
โ€ข Cybersecurity policies and procedures
โ€ข Compliance inspection reports
โ€ข Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all Government systems and data.
โ€ข Report vulnerabilities and non-compliance findings to the Government with corrective action plans and timelines.
โ€ข Implement a change control process preventing unauthorized system or network modifications.
โ€ข The CSSP Engineering Team Lead oversees and supports the following primary functional areas:

โ€ข Mission Cloud & On-Premises Security Implementation
โ€ข Emerging Technology Assessments & Process Improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree required.
โ€ข Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent โ€“ REQUIRED
โ€ข Must be a U.S. Citizen.
โ€ข Selective Service registration required (if applicable).
โ€ข Top Secret Security Clearance required
โ€ข Must maintain fitness and eligibility for national security positions.
โ€ข Eight (8) years of progressive experience in IT engineering, platform operations, network engineering, or a closely related IT management discipline involving oversight of large, complex, multi-site programs.
Preferred:
โ€ข MA/MS degree preferred.
โ€ข Relevant commercial certifications (e.g., ITIL, Agile, CISSP, CSM) โ€“ desired
