Job description

Job Function Statement: (Overall job purpose and benefit to the operation)
Responsible for day-to-day operations of Community Action Council's Child Development classrooms. Responsible for providing leadership to teaching staff, implements activities to ensure achievement of curriculum, child outcomes and maintenance of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation, compliance with state licensing requirements, local ordinances and Head Start Program Performance Standards.
Education: Masters, Bachelors or Associate in:
Preferred degree: interdisciplinary early childhood education, early childhood special education, early childhood education, early childhood development , elementary education, child care assistant, child development services, human sciences, individual and family studies.
Related degree: psychology, sociology, art therapy, child life, elementary education, nursing, speech therapy, counseling , human services, human services administration or program administration, nursery school teacher, university or general studies with emphasis in early childhood, physical therapy , occupation therapy .
