Job description

Position: RN or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Variable Hours
Schedule: PRN
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support our surgical team in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assisting with a variety of procedures, including cataract and endoscopic surgeries, while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and surgical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Scrub and assist during surgical procedures, including ophthalmic and endoscopic cases
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor sterile surgical fields throughout procedures
  • Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and readily available
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain strict compliance with safety standards
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
  • Current Nebraska RN license with BLS and ACLS certification OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with BLS certification
  • Previous operating room or surgical experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain focused in a high-volume surgical setting
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and attention to detail
