SAP S/4HANA PTS Security Steward

Location: Tampa, FL, USA - Remote

Job Description:

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PTS Security Steward to evaluate, review, and approve security-related requests and access changes within the SAP S/4HANA environment.
The Security Steward will assess security designs, role modifications, organizational changes, and access requests to ensure compliance with business, regulatory, audit, and operational requirements while minimizing risk to critical business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Role Maintenance Governance
Perform security and business impact assessments for role maintenance requests.
Evaluate impacts related to:
GMP compliance
Segregation of Duties (SoD) risks and conflicts
Product shipment and operational continuity
Financial and reporting impacts
Clinical trial requirements
Study blinding and unblinding
Confidential business and HR information
Data privacy and confidentiality
Assess access to critical SAP transactions, high-risk authorizations, and mass-maintenance activities.
Identify and document business, operational, compliance, and security risks.
Site Derivation & Rollout
Support site derivation requests and SAP site rollout initiatives.
Validate organizational value assignments against approved organizational structures.
Assess impacts related to:
GMP compliance
SoD
Clinical processes
Confidentiality and sensitive data
Business and operational processes
Support security governance for organizational changes and site implementations.
Access Request Support
Assist business users in identifying appropriate SAP access based on job responsibilities.
Provide guidance on role selection and security processes.
Collaborate with SAP Security teams to support timely and compliant access provisioning.
Audit & Compliance
Support internal and external audits related to SAP security and access management.
Provide documentation, evidence, and business justification for audit requirements.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with business process owners, compliance teams, SAP Security administrators, and project teams.
Participate in governance reviews, risk assessments, and security decision-making.
Promote SAP security controls and best practices across the S/4HANA environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA security concepts, role design, and authorization management.
Strong understanding of Segregation of Duties (SoD), compliance, governance, and audit requirements.
Knowledge of business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Clinical, or HR.
Experience supporting regulated environments, including GMP-controlled processes.
Strong analytical, risk-assessment, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP GRC Access Control.
Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
Familiarity with clinical processes, data privacy, and confidentiality controls.
Experience supporting global SAP deployments, site rollouts, and organizational changes.
