Job description

Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Removes pallets from the production floor and carefully places them in the correct bay in the freezer for future shipment.
  • Properly inspects equipment to ensure they are in optimum operating condition.
  • Notifies supervisor and/or lead of any issues with the forklift or malfunction(s).
  • Safely operates high-reach forklifts under OSHA and Case Farms guidelines.
  • Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts/conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management-related matters.
  • Maintains a clean, uncluttered, and safe work area.

Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to read and write legibly.
  • Basic math functions and skills.
  • Prior forklift experience required.

Physical Requirements
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, if applicable.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced plant environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, sit, squat, climb, balance, stretch, walk, reach, twist, bend, grasp, use hands and fingers, handle objects or controls, talk, and hear.
  • Agility to negotiate around moving machinery and people.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of -10 degrees Fahrenheit or colder.
  • May handle product -10 degrees to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB.
