Job description

Job Summary

Carlisle Company is a leader in Building Envelope Systems, managing the flow of water, vapor, air, and energy from foundation to roof. Our quality products offer designers, contractors, and building owners the right solutions for below-grade, wall, and roofing applications.

The Maintenance Lead provides hands-on leadership for maintenance operations supporting the safe and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for coordinating maintenance technicians, improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, supporting preventive maintenance programs, and maintaining a safe work environment. The Maintenance Lead works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians.
  • Prioritize and assign maintenance work to support production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
  • Support and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
  • Train, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians.
  • Hold team members accountable for safety, work quality, PM completion, housekeeping, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS system.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs, including LOTO, confined space, and hot work procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical (480V, motor controls, VFDs), pneumatic, hydraulic, and material handling systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insulation, building materials, or continuous process manufacturing.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
  • Experience with pumps, compressors, dust collection systems, fans, blowers, and process equipment.
  • Technical certification or degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or reliability-focused maintenance programs.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work indoors and outdoors, operate maintenance tools and equipment, work overtime as needed, and wear required PPE.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Eye and hearing protection required in designated areas.
  • Safety-toe footwear required.
  • Additional PPE as required by task, department, or company policy.
