Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team at Caring Companions Behavioral Health Center, located in Irving, Texas. This full-time position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while providing critical therapeutic support to individuals navigating the complex journeys of trauma recovery. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering healing and resilience among our patients, while earning a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually.

About the Organization

Caring Companions Behavioral Health Center is a leading provider of mental health services specializing in trauma recovery. Our mission is to create a compassionate and secure environment where trauma survivors can receive the support they need to regain control over their lives. With a focus on innovative, evidence-based practices, we effectively treat a range of trauma-related disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients benefit from our commitment to holistic care and lifelong healing.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing therapists flexibility to tailor their work environment to best fit their needs while providing care. You will primarily engage with patients through telehealth services but may occasionally participate in team meetings and case consultations at our outpatient office in Irving, Texas. Our team values collaboration, inclusivity, and a shared mission of enhancing patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans prioritizing trauma recovery, focusing on resilience-building strategies that resonate with patients’ unique experiences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, cultivate coping mechanisms, and foster a sense of community.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure all facets of patient care are integrated effectively.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support during trauma-related emergencies as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources to promote ongoing recovery.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings that focus on trauma-informed practices and contribute to continuous professional development.
  • Stay informed on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapy practice focuses on supporting individuals who have experienced significant trauma in their lives. As a therapist here, you will work closely with diverse clients who have suffered from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. A deep understanding of the unique needs of trauma survivors and the ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to their specific contexts will be essential in achieving positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed care practices.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and non-judgmental engagement with patients.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations, providing reassurance and guidance.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred, with direct work in trauma-focused therapies.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems.
  • Familiarity with collaborative care models and multidisciplinary teamwork approaches.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits package to support your well-being.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to help you prepare for the future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to ensure work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind.
  • Access to continuing education opportunities and support for ongoing professional development.
