Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments by meeting with clients to evaluate their mental health status and identify specific needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's unique challenges.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using culturally responsive techniques to engage clients effectively, including those facing substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
  • Monitor and document client progress meticulously in electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to all guidelines regarding confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Provide patient referrals to additional healthcare providers as needed, such as psychiatrists and general practitioners, to ensure holistic care.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to continuously improve therapeutic interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Cardinal Behavioral Health Center, you will be primarily working with a diverse range of clients, including those experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. Your empathetic approach will help create a safe space for clients from various backgrounds, allowing them to confront their issues and thrive with the tools and skills you equip them with.

Qualifications
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience working in mental health settings, with demonstrated success in client engagement and therapeutic interventions.
  • Thorough understanding of various mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of forming strong connections with clients and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering culturally competent and inclusive therapeutic practices.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth technologies to manage client documentation and care.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills that enable you to navigate challenging circumstances while maintaining client safety and therapeutic integrity.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
