Job description

  • JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
    • Job Summary:
      • Provides direct patient care in an outpatient setting. Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy treatment modalities and therapeutic procedures through application in patient care. Effectively applies all physical therapeutic techniques appropriate to patient needs and physician orders. Completes all required documentation, assists in scheduling, and attends interdisciplinary rounds/committee meetings as assigned.
    • Education:
      • Position requires a doctorate or master's degree.
    • Registration/Certification/Licensure:
      • Active Maryland license - Maryland Board of Physical Therapy
    • Experience:
      • Must demonstrate competence to provide physical rehabilitation services by reason of education, training and experience. New graduates with clinical rotations in an outpatient setting will be considered.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
      • Required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with modified lifting devices.
      • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions that drive an appropriate plan of care.
      • If functioning as Women's Health Physical Therapist, appropriate certification required; i.e., Women's Health PT, Women's Health Specialist/PT.
      • If functioning as Lymphedema Specialist, must have appropriate training and education.
      • Demonstrated intermediate-level computer skills needed for accurate completion of computerized medical records, billing records, and various other computerized tasks.
