Work Environment

As a virtual licensed mental health counselor, you will work remotely, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while using cutting-edge platforms for teletherapy. You will be provided with access to advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems, Google Suite, and other digital tools that support efficient workflow and client engagement. Our work culture encourages a strong work-life balance, with no on-call requirements and a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments to evaluate each client's mental health and substance abuse history, utilizing standardized screening tools.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions grounded in evidence-based practices, employing methodologies that resonate with our clients' cultural and personal backgrounds.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure that clients receive integrated and cohesive care.
• Engage and educate family members to be involved in the recovery process, providing them with the necessary tools to support their loved ones effectively.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on serving clients who have been pre-screened and assessed as stable with low acuity needs. Your clients will include a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families, and you will champion holistic approaches that honor each client's unique strengths and experiences. You will play a crucial role in guiding them through their therapeutic journeys, helping them develop coping strategies that foster mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
• Possession of active state licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or PsyD.
• Experience in providing telehealth therapy to adolescents and young adults is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in utilizing technology, including EHR systems and telehealth platforms, to enhance client service delivery.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, exhibiting a neat and professional presentation in all interactions.
• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by warmth, empathy, and a genuine engagement approach with clients.

Preferred Experience

• 2-3 years of experience delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the clinical needs of clients.
• A willingness to participate in training programs regarding our specialized care pathways, which guide treatment based on established evidence-based frameworks.
• Experience working with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity.
• Comfortable working from a home environment with reliable internet access and maintaining a private setting to uphold confidentiality standards.
