As Customer Care andย Sales Advisorย I,ย youโ€™llย be the supportiveย voiceย and solutions partner for our customers. Whetherย assistingย with billing questions, scheduling service, or guiding product changes,ย youโ€™llย build trust by listening empathetically and responding clearly. As you grow in the role,ย youโ€™llย handle more complex situationsโ€”resolving issues,ย retainingย customers considering disconnecting, and matching their needs with the right products and services. This position blends service and sales skills, focusing on caring for customers, protecting relationships, andย demonstratingย the value of staying with Sparklight. Every interaction countsโ€”for both the customer and the company.ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Learn and apply Retention Sales and Customer Care concepts, procedures, and methodologies.ย 

  • Perform entry-level sales and support tasks within a designated region or business area.ย 

  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone or ticketing systems, providing personalized and thoughtful communication.ย 

  • Actively listen and ask questions to understand customer needs, showing empathy and respect.ย 

  • Handle a variety of customer-facing duties, including:ย 

  • Addressing requests to disconnect or remove servicesย 

  • Providing billing and pricing informationย 

  • Resolving standard issues remotely or educating customers on resolution stepsย 

  • Scheduling service appointments when remote resolutionย isnโ€™tย possibleย 

  • Arranging product returns or exchangesย 

  • Managing add/change/deleteย requests in hosted platformsย 

  • Use effective telephone-based selling skills to:ย 

  • Buildย rapportย andย identifyย customer issuesย 

  • Offer creative solutions and explain product/service benefitsย 

  • Negotiate householdย spendย and upsellย additionalย servicesย 

  • Accurately and efficiently input ordersย 

  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales activity goals.ย 

  • Follow company-approved scripts to ensure consistent communication.ย 

  • Assistย with specialย projects asย assigned.ย 

Qualificationsย 

  • High School Diploma or GEDย 

  • Ability to ask fact-finding questions toย identifyย solutions aligned with customer needsย 

  • Demonstrated patience and professionalism in all customer interactionsย 

  • Working knowledge of Cable One products and servicesย 

  • Strong communicationย and active listening skillsย 

  • Ability to remain composed and empathetic in high-pressure situationsย 

  • Ability to sit for extended periods, use hands, talk, and hearย 

  • May beย requiredย toย lift upย to 10 poundsย 

Pay Rate: ย 

  • Hourly rate ofย $15.00 - $16.50. We offer an hourly wage based on experience, with a focus on providing growth opportunities for both entry-level candidates and those with more experience. ย
