Job description
International water and waste water treatment company is looking for an experienced. highly qualified Senior Industrial Environmental & Waste Director/VP to lead the strategic and technical direction of thr waste management, treatment, disposal and environmental programs along the gulf coast. This is a senior business & technical leadership role overseeing our permitted treatment facilities, regulatory compliance, waste considerations, beneficial reuse and waste brokering programs. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in heavy industrial environments (such as petrochemicals, refining, or chemical manufacturing) and possesses a deep technical understanding of federal and state environmental regulations. This role combines deep business & technical expertise in waste considerations and treatment with proven leadership managing multi-site operations and business lines. Some travel will be required between current fixed locations and job sites.
Company is a full-service industrial water, waste management and vapor control services company that provides wastewater treatment site services, troubleshooting, dewatering, dredging, centralized waste treatment, both vapor & liquid scrubbing control services as well as equipment rental solutions to commercial, municipal and heavy industrial customers, backed by their own site services and a patented dewatering equipment fleet
.
Ideal location for this role is in the Lake Charles, LA area, but company will consider candidates located in New Orleans or Houston,

Key responsibilities of the role inc
lude:
Direct all aspects of waste treatment operations, including industrial wastewater (CWA/NPDES), hazardous waste (RCRA) and sludge management pro
cesses
Direct the safe collection, segregation, characterization, packaging, labeling, temporary storage, and transport of all hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste s
treams.
Ensure full regulatory compliance across both federal (EPA), state, and local environmental programs; serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections, permitting, an
d audits
Own P&L responsibility for waste treatment business lines, including cost control, pricing strategy, and revenue growth through multiple waste associated busin
ess lines
Qualify, select, and audit third-party Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities and waste transportation vendors to minimize corporate
liability.
Build and mentor a team of environmental specialists and sales repr
esentatives
Evaluate and integrate new waste streams and customer verticals (refineries, chemical plants, centralized waste treatment facil
ities, etc.)
Represent the company with key customers, industry associations, and regu
latory bodies
Required Q
ualifications:7 - 10+ years of experience in industrial waste , hazardous/nonhazardous waste management with 2-5 years of senior leaders
hip experience
Deep working knowledge of RCRA, CWA/NPDES, and waste related state/federal environmen
tal regulations
Demonstrated experience managing permitted treatment facilities and regulato
ry relationships
Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or Registered Environmental Manager
(REM) designation
