Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges.
Handle cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment with precision and integrity.
Provide product demonstrations to inform customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an attractive shopping environment.
Assist with stocking shelves, inventory management, and ensuring products are readily available for customers.
Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting via phone or online inquiries.
Qualifications
Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory.
Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently.
Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments enhances your ability to excel in this role.
