Position Overview

Broadview Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time member. In this role, you will play a crucial part in facilitating therapeutic relationships through telehealth platforms, allowing you to support clients from the comfort and safety of their own homes. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing clients' mental health statuses, designing tailored therapeutic interventions, and guiding patients through their recovery processes.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to connect with clients digitally. Our telehealth facility provides a secure and user-friendly platform conducive to therapy sessions, which not only ensures client confidentiality but also allows flexibility in work hours. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and medical staff, in a virtual setting that promotes shared knowledge and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health, identifying their needs and concerns through virtual consultations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique circumstances of each client, ensuring that they align with best practices in mental health care.
• Facilitate regular, structured therapy sessions—both individually and in group settings—equipping clients with effective coping strategies to manage their conditions.
• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their feedback and ongoing evaluations of their mental health state.
• Collaborate with external mental health care providers when necessary, providing referrals to psychiatrists or specialists to enhance patient care.
• Document all client interactions and treatment strategies in our electronic health record (EHR) system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our practice emphasizes culturally competent care, acknowledging and respecting the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client. This position calls for a counselor who thrives in a setting where empathy, cultural sensitivity, and individualized approaches are paramount.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), or similar in New York State.
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a breadth of knowledge across various therapeutic techniques.
• Proficiency in employing evidence-based treatment methods and cultural competency in therapy practices.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with clients and engaging with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy, utilizing inclusive and culturally responsive approaches.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies.
• A proven track record of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually.
