Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial client assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, ensuring accurate diagnostics and effective treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans aligned with their unique needs, preferences, and goals, ensuring that each plan remains dynamic and responsive to changes in client status.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the client’s specific challenges and backgrounds.
  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote a robust support system beyond therapy sessions.
  • Monitor ongoing client progress meticulously, regularly adjusting treatment plans based on client feedback and clinical observations to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and discuss client progress.
  • Stay well-versed in the latest research and treatment interventions related to mood disorders, contributing to the continual improvement of therapeutic strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

  • Serve as a client advocate, promoting mental health awareness and addressing the unique needs of clients affected by stigma related to mood disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults and families dealing with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Qualifications
  • Must possess a current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
