The Brightside Therapy Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team full-time in a remote setting. This role is pivotal in providing mental health services to our diverse clientele, particularly focusing on facilitating emotional health and wellness. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a supportive environment that promotes personal growth, community engagement, and recovery through evidence-based therapeutic practices.

About the Organization

Brightside Therapy Center operates as a community health clinic with a mission to help individuals lead fulfilling lives. Our comprehensive approach encompasses therapies aimed at emotional wellness, substance use recovery, and support services for developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. We emphasize a person-driven programming style, ensuring that each client’s journey towards independence and wellness is respected and nurtured through integrity, compassion, and professional excellence. We also offer a hire-on bonus to new employees, recognizing the value of the contributions they will bring to our organization.

Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible, full-time work schedule of 30-40 hours per week, providing our counselors with a healthy work-life balance. The remote work setting facilitates a dynamic environment where counselors can engage effectively with clients using telehealth modalities, enhancing access to care while supporting personal productivity. Our team thrives on collaboration, continual learning, and upholding the highest standards in client care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address client needs, incorporating crisis and behavioral guidelines as necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Employ evidence-based screening tools to assess clients effectively, working closely with the clinical team to identify appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
  • Actively engage in all aspects of licensing and accreditation processes, contributing to the clinic's adherence to quality standards.
  • Serve as a liaison for clients with pertinent service systems, state agencies, and community partners to ensure continuity of care and to navigate resources.
  • Establish and maintain strong lines of communication across programs and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and community engagement.
  • Network with local, state, federal, and private agencies to explore new alliances, partnerships, and funding opportunities in support of our clinic’s missions.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through conferences, classes, and collaborative forums, aimed at enhancing your expertise and effectiveness.
  • Promote the values, mission, and principles of Brightside Therapy Center in all interactions, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Brightside Therapy Center, you will work with a diverse group of clients experiencing mental health challenges, including those in recovery from substance use disorders, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those facing emotional and psychological distress. Your role will be essential in providing tailored therapeutic interventions that are sensitive to the cultural and socio-economic backgrounds of clients.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is a mandatory prerequisite.
  • Possession of an independent LMHC license by the state board is required for practice.
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate clinical records and produce necessary reports.
  • Effective communication skills to express ideas clearly and empathetically.
  • Ability to make informed, independent decisions while exercising sound professional judgment.
  • A readiness to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team focused on holistic client care.
Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications are essential, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a community health setting or those who have worked closely with populations similar to those served at Brightside Therapy Center. Experience with trauma-informed care practices and familiarity with telehealth tools will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive salary, Brightside Therapy Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, including productivity bonuses, continued professional development opportunities, health, dental, and vision insurance, and dependent care accounts. We also provide a supportive team environment, flexible scheduling, and paid time off (PTO) for personal wellness.
