Your expertise will play a pivotal role in promoting their recovery and supporting their journeys toward independence.

About the Organization

At Bridge Way Reflections Therapy, located in Elizabeth, New Jersey, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our diverse patient population through comprehensive rehabilitation services. Our center is renowned for its specialized expertise in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. By leveraging evidence-based therapies and advanced rehabilitation technologies, we strive to empower individuals to overcome challenges following injury, illness, or disability.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, allowing for flexibility and ensuring that you can effectively balance personal commitments while delivering high-quality care. You will be working directly with school-aged children and adolescents, utilizing teletherapy tools to conduct assessments, provide counseling, and maintain consistent communication with families and educational staff. Regular collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team is integral to our practice, and your contributions will be essential in developing tailored treatment plans that cater to each student's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments through telehealth appointments, interviews, and detailed reviews of educational and medical records to evaluate emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting students’ well-being.
  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions aimed at improving students' emotional regulation, coping strategies, and social interactions, while addressing adjustment issues related to school and personal life.
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, school staff, and the rehabilitation team to design individualized treatment plans that align with students' psychological and educational needs.
  • Guide families in navigating community resources, including support groups and individual therapy options, thereby maximizing students' access to necessary services.
  • Participate actively in discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions for students moving between educational and therapeutic settings.
  • Provide ongoing support and educational workshops for families, equipping them with the knowledge to reinforce therapy goals at home.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on school-aged children and adolescents facing various challenges, including emotional disturbances, trauma, behavioral issues, or prior incidents of disability. With our multidisciplinary approach, we aim to address the holistic needs of each student, helping them achieve their highest level of functional and emotional independence in their academic and social environments.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and community resource navigation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with children, families, and educators.
  • Proficiency in using virtual communications tools for teletherapy.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a rehabilitation, educational, or medical setting is preferred.
  • Experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to youth, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or play therapy.
  • Prior involvement in multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on collaborative treatment planning.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, complemented by a sign-on bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of health insurance for you and your family, retirement plans with employer contributions, and generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional development through workshops and conferences to foster your continuous growth in the field.
