ABOUT ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING

Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi - brewers of Asahi Super Dry - acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility. Our Brewhouse team turns raw ingredients into the wort that becomes every batch we brew.


THE OPPORTUNITY

Our brewhouse keeps the entire brewing process moving - turning raw ingredients into finished wort that feeds every batch downstream. We're looking for a Brewhouse Brewer to help keep that process precise, efficient, and in spec.


WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT

Own the very first step of the brewing process - from raw material intake to finished wort

Direct ownership of yeast propagation, a critical part of every batch's success

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Learn, understand, and operate all brewhouse piping and equipment

Execute efficient brewing operations from raw material intake to finished wort

Own yeast propagation from start to finish

Perform routine quality checks, basic maintenance, and CIP on brewhouse equipment and piping

Keep accurate brewing logs and sanitation records every shift


WHAT YOU BRING

Must-haves:

Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting 55 lbs / moving 165 lbs as needed

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management

Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing or manufacturing setting

Flexibility to work various shifts and prioritize shifting tasks

Nice-to-haves:

2-3 years of experience in a brewing environment

Degree in Brewing Science/Technology

CURRENTLY HIRING FOR

2nd Shift | Monday - Thursday | 4pm - 2am  - Opening available  

Weekend Day | Friday - Sunday | 6am - 6pm - Opening available

PAY BY SHIFT 

Pay starts at $22.00/hr - $26.00/hr based on experience, with growth up to $34.00/hr through our tiered Brewer Career Matrix - whether you build that experience here or bring it with you, already brewed. Shifts outside of 1st shift include an additional shift differential on top of that base - never a lower starting rate, just added pay for the shift. 

  • 1st Shift - $22.00/hr (minimal base rate) 
  • 2nd Shift - $22.00/hr base + $3.00/hr shift differential = $25.00/hr (minimal total rate) 
  • 3rd Shift - $22.00/hr base + $4.00/hr shift differential = $26.00/hr (minimal total rate) 
  • Weekend Day - $22.00/hr base + $5.75/hr shift differential = $27.75/hr (minimal total rate) 
  • Weekend Night - $22.00/hr base + $7.75/hr shift differential = $29.75/hr (minimal total rate)
