Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and inform individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient.
  • Facilitating therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and groups, focusing on healing and personal development.
  • Regularly tracking and evaluating patient progress, modifying treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimized outcomes.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed, including providing referrals to specialists for comprehensive patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele at Blue Ridge Hospice Counseling Center includes individuals and families navigating significant life changes, grief, and mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and relational conflicts. Our approach is client-centered, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and acknowledging the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client. You will have the opportunity to make a profound impact in the lives of those seeking support at different stages of their mental health journey.

Qualifications
  • Active State licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in mental health diagnoses and therapeutic modalities relevant to family therapy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and trust effectively with diverse clientele.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience providing individual and/or group therapy in an outpatient setting.
  • Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and technology to support remote therapy sessions.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and the ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet varied client needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation and administrative tasks efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, reflecting experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a competitive benefits package that includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, therapist liability coverage, and a retirement savings plan with company matching.
