Work Environment

As an LMFT at Blue Ridge Hospice Counseling Center, you will primarily work remotely, enabling you to maintain a work-life balance while delivering essential therapy services. Key Responsibilities

• Establish a supportive and trusting rapport with patients to create a safe therapeutic environment.
• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders through thorough assessments and evidence-based practices.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
• Lead weekly individual and group therapy sessions, providing a supportive atmosphere for patients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring ongoing support and effective interventions.
• Collaborate closely with medical professionals and refer clients to specialists when necessary, integrating a multidisciplinary approach to care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously, complying with legal and ethical standards in mental health practices.

You will work collaboratively with clients from various backgrounds, including different ages, gender identities, and cultural contexts. Qualifications

• A current and active State licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and/or group therapy, showcasing proficiency in therapeutic modalities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential for managing caseloads efficiently and ensuring comprehensive administrative documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community health setting or similar environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient documentation processes.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and culturally sensitive therapy approaches.

Compensation and Benefits
