Blaze Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient psychiatry team in Aurora, Illinois. Ideal candidates will possess a license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are cultural and context-sensitive to ensure tailored treatment planning.
• Implement evidence-based interventions in therapy sessions, considering each patient’s cultural background and personal experiences.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health challenges, fostering resilience and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Offer crisis intervention services for patients in mental health emergencies, employing effective assessment and management strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, promote awareness of treatment options, and guide them in accessing community resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal regulations.
• Participate actively in clinical meetings, case consultations, and training focused on cultural competency and best practices in mental health therapy.
• Stay updated with current research, methodologies, and trends in psychology to enhance therapeutic practices and patient care.

The patients you will serve include individuals struggling with a wide range of mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and substance use challenges. Our client base is diverse, requiring a nuanced understanding of cultural sensitivities, allowing therapists to approach care in a way that is respectful and relevant to each patient's background.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Illinois.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and effective, evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Experience in conducting both individual and group therapy with an emphasis on cultural responsiveness.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills capable of establishing rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in computer applications pertinent to mental health documentation.
• Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in delivering mental health therapy.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to collaborative care strategies.
• Prior experience in culturally diverse settings and delivering therapy to marginalized communities.

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
