Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) to join our team at Behavioral Health Connections LLC. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment from the beautiful region of Killington, Vermont. As a vital member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support our diverse clientele in achieving improved mental health outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is completely remote, allowing counselors the flexibility to manage their schedules while providing high-quality mental health services. Within our outpatient structure, our counselors maintain a focus on client-centered care, utilizing telehealth platforms that enhance accessibility and convenience for both clients and clinicians. You will join a team of compassionate professionals dedicated to improving the lives of those we serve, collaborating regularly via virtual meetings and clinical discussions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients, identifying challenges and strengths that will inform treatment planning.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices, considering the specific needs and preferences of each client.
  • Provide high-quality individual and group psychotherapy, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to the diverse backgrounds of the clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment records, that adheres to both ethical and legal standards.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention as necessary, employing effective techniques to de-escalate situations and provide immediate support.
  • Engage in ongoing consultation with institutional staff and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a coordinated and comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Participate proactively in staff meetings, training sessions, and program development initiatives to enhance service delivery and foster professional growth.
  • Contribute to the Quality Improvement program by monitoring the effectiveness of clinical services and implementing feedback to enhance practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a vast array of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing diverse mental health challenges. Our clientele ranges from those experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders to individuals navigating significant life transitions and stressors. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, leading to positive therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • A valid and active independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license to practice in Vermont.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in counseling or psychotherapy with proven results in patient care.
  • Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities and approaches, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building trust and rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work independently, manage your schedule, and utilize technology effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with a diverse client population, including those from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital tools for remote therapy delivery.
  • Participation in continuing education to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits package includes:
