BayCare Health System is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN)to join the Med/Surg Observation Unit at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City.
Since 1953, South Florida Baptist Hospital has served the community with high-quality, compassionate care. This 204-bed, full-service hospital combines advanced acute care services with a warm, patient-centered environment focused on personal attention.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a hospital setting using the nursing process and established clinical standards. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, delegates appropriate care activities, and ensures safe, high-quality outcomes for observation patients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care using evidence-based nursing practice
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and update plans of care
  • Delegate appropriate patient care activities to support staff
  • Identify patient safety risks related to diagnosis, medications, procedures, and age
  • Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development
