Job description

At Batteries Plus, we don\'t just power products-we power possibilities. As a District Sales and Operations Manager, you\'ll oversee a multi-store district of corporate-owned stores, driving sales performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. If you\'re a results-driven leader who thrives on developing teams, optimizing performance, and fostering growth, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both people and business outcomes.

This role will sit remote out of the Columbus, Ohio area as it is central to the region.

What You\'ll Do

  • Lead and develop high-performing store teams to consistently deliver exceptional customer service and operational standards.

  • Foster a results-driven culture through communication of expectations, performance metrics, and coaching.

  • Mentor and support Store Managers to build future leadership talent.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning in partnership with HR and corporate leadership.

  • Drive operational excellence by ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Conduct regular store visits, track progress, and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

  • Support the rollout and execution of new programs, operational tools, and hands-on training.

  • Partner with Store Managers on recruiting, interviewing, and hiring; support staffing during openings or transitions.

  • Champion community engagement within assigned territories.

  • Analyze profit and loss (P&L) performance to develop action plans for increased profitability and efficiency.

  • Provide strategic sales leadership to achieve budgeting goals and drive high performance.

  • Evaluate store KPIs, including merchandising, promotions, appearance, and inventory accuracy; address performance gaps with action plans and coaching.

What Powers You

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • Minimum 3 years of retail management experience; multi-location experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build, coach, and develop teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with peers, senior leaders, customers, and vendors.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work varied hours and travel up to 90%, including overnight stays.

  • Valid driver\'s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent a car and/or provide personal transportation.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in both office and retail environments.
