Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans that align with the specific requirements and therapy goals of each client.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress and healing.
  • Educate clients and families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
  • Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for integrated care approaches, ensuring a comprehensive treatment strategy.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health care to continually improve treatment strategies and client outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate record-keeping in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and teamwork.
  • Advocate for the needs of clients, particularly regarding mental health stigmatization and access to care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on clients dealing with relationship challenges, including those undergoing divorce or seeking to improve their family dynamics. You will work with a diverse range of individuals, providing tailored support aimed at fostering healthy relationships and effective communication strategies. Your insights will be critical in helping clients navigate complex emotional landscapes and develop coping mechanisms.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • Demonstrable ability to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A nonjudgmental attitude, characterized by empathy and support for clients’ experiences and struggles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage a caseload effectively while fulfilling administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in working with diverse client groups and specifically in relationship and divorce counseling.
  • Familiarity with multiple therapeutic modalities, including structural family therapy, strategic therapy, and narrative therapy.
  • Previous experience in outpatient settings and coordinating integrated care can be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
