Work Environment

This position is primarily telehealth-based, enabling counselors to connect with clients through secure virtual platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalized therapy strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in adherence to legal requirements and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care and treatment outcomes, participating in regular staff meetings to discuss cases and share insights.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training, staying informed about the latest advancements in mental health research and therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Balanced Minds Counseling, you will work with a diverse clientele, including those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use issues, and relationship problems. Our emphasis on inclusivity means that you will provide care to individuals and families from various backgrounds, ensuring that treatment is culturally competent and sensitive to the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical counseling setting, providing direct therapeutic services to clients.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical issues in mental health practice, with a commitment to upholding these standards.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clientele.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team, contributing to a holistic approach to client care.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and technologies relevant to mental health practice.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
