True Balance Health Center is seeking dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our growing team. In this full-time, remote role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality mental health services to a diverse clientele, focusing on a holistic approach to therapy that prioritizes emotional well-being and personal growth.

About the Organization

True Balance Health Center is committed to transforming the landscape of mental health care. Based in Brookhaven, New York, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional telehealth services that are accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based. Our dedicated team integrates various therapeutic modalities to address the unique and evolving needs of our clients, aiming to empower individuals on their mental health journey.

Work Environment

As a remote practice, we foster a supportive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes both client care and therapist well-being. Our virtual clinic is equipped with the latest telehealth technology, ensuring seamless communication and flexibility for both our team and clients. Regular team meetings and consultations enhance collaboration, allowing for continued professional development and shared learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to accurately identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other established methodologies tailored to individual client needs.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary treatment team encompassing psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health specialists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Facilitate regular case consultations and peer review meetings, leveraging collective expertise to enhance service delivery.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources, promoting an informed and empowered patient experience.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in mental health to continuously improve therapeutic approaches and outcomes.
  • Manage a full caseload while delivering timely and effective treatment, upholding the ethical standards defined by licensing boards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes individuals navigating a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. With a strong commitment to inclusivity, we seek therapists who can engage with and understand the unique cultural and personal backgrounds of our clients, ensuring that everyone receives tailored care that respects their individual experiences.

Qualifications
  • Hold a Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a valid license to practice as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in solution-focused therapy interventions, with a robust understanding of current best practices in mental health.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, adaptable to the dynamic nature of remote therapy.
  • Value collaboration, showing respect for colleague contributions and fostering a supportive team atmosphere.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, demonstrating ability to engage effectively with clients in a virtual format.
  • Experience providing therapy to diverse populations is a plus, showcasing cultural competency in addressing a variety of mental health issues.
  • Background in evidence-based practices, especially in trauma-informed care, is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Attractive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $105,000, depending on experience, along with potential bonuses.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans designed to ensure your health and well-being.
  • Life insurance and short-term disability coverage, contributing to your financial security.
  • Professional liability and malpractice insurance coverage to safeguard your practice.
  • Employee assistance programs aimed at supporting your personal and professional well-being.
  • Unlimited referrals, enabling you to build and maintain a fulfilling caseload with diverse clients.
  • Reduced administrative tasks, allowing you to focus more on client care rather than paperwork.
