Our ideal candidate will be an empathetic professional who is committed to delivering quality therapeutic services.

About the Organization

Our mission is to enhance personal development and emotional well-being by creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe and valued. Through innovative therapeutic practices, we strive to address various mental health concerns and foster resilience in our community.

This position allows for remote work, giving you the flexibility to create a healthy work-life balance while working in a collaborative online environment. As part of our team, you will engage with multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to patient-centric care. We utilize secure telehealth platforms to ensure effective communication and maintain clinical records. The culture at BJC Wellness Center values continuous professional development and open communication among team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized assessments and develop tailored therapy strategies to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups effectively.
  • Employ a range of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, adjusting them based on client needs.
  • Collaborate actively with a team of healthcare providers to ensure holistic treatment plans for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of advancements in mental health practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals and families challenged by a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Many of our clients experience barriers to accessing care, requiring counselors to provide services that are culturally sensitive and adaptable to the specific circumstances of each individual.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
  • A valid, active, and unrestricted license as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is required, preferably within a community-based or clinical setting.
  • A strong understanding of ethical legal standards relevant to mental health practice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients.
  • Demonstrated teamwork capabilities and experience collaborating with healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software and other relevant technologies is preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling is highly preferred.
  • Experience using various evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address a range of mental health issues.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload availability.
  • Access to comprehensive dental, vision, and health insurance plans.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage provided by our organization.
  • Support with billing and documentation tasks to reduce your administrative burden.
  • Potential for a generous sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, details to be discussed during interviews.
