Director Community Living

Pay Range:$75,000-$85,000
The Director of Community Living will provide leadership in advancing the agency's mission by overseeing departmental operations, staff, program and administrative functions. Ensure quality person-centered services through effective supervision, policy implementation, fiscal stewardship, outcome-focused planning, and cross-department collaboration. Participate in the development of the division's budget and maintain fiscal responsibility for departmental programs, administration, and operations within established budget guidelines. Advocate for people supported to participate in their communities and develop meaningful relationships in a coordinated, holistic manner.

Job Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties
Provide leadership, direct supervision of mid-level managers and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring the consistent delivery of high quality, person-centered services that foster community inclusion, meaningful relationships and positive outcomes.
Conduct and document monthly supervision meetings with assigned staff to provide coaching, performance feedback, professional development and support while promoting employee engagement.
Partner with internal departments, including Human Resources, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders, to ensure coordinated service delivery and support people receiving services in achieving their employment goals and other person-centered goals.
Serve as a 24/7 on call leader, responding to emergencies, staffing challenges and operational issues to ensure continuity of services for the health and safety of people supported.
Conduct follow-up home inspections monthly to verify that identified corrective actions have been completed and that homes remain in compliance with agency standards, safety regulations, and operational expectations.
Monthly review and analyze, operational reports, expenditures and performance data to ensure accuracy, identify trends and risks, improve service quality, maintain compliance and support fiscal management. Make recommendations to improve service quality, mitigate risks, and achieve cost savings.
Actively participate in all assigned job-related meetings, to support effective communication, collaboration, strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
Teamwork/Leadership
Provide support, training, and guidance to mid-level managers in their area of responsibility.
Foster the professional growth of departmental staff through mentoring, succession planning, leadership development opportunities.
Participation in agency committees, cross-functional workgroups and specialized training.
Build and sustain collaborative partnerships with all internal departments and external stakeholders.
Model exceptional professionalism, integrity and ethical leadership while reinforcing the agency's mission, vision and values.
Operations/Administration
Implement efficient fiscal process and procedures. Monitors departmental budget for spending and compliance
Oversee and approve all time-keeping records and monitor overtime for staff.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree required. Five years' supervisory experience in DDA may be substituted in lieu of a degree plus 3-5 years of leadership or managing residential programs.
Must have at least 7-8 years of experience in residential living services, for people with developmental disabilities. 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Working Conditions
