Job Summary:
Information Technology organization is seeking a contractor accomplished IT Senior Project Manager with experience deploying global Configure Price Quote (CPQ) systems.
This contractor position ensures alignment with business objectives, manages cross-functional teams, and drives project execution according to IT PMO standards. The ideal candidate will work in close partnership with Customer Product Management and IT Commercial Enterprise Applications leadership.
Knowledge of the Tacton platform is beneficial and Jira and agile development experience is necessary.
This is a temporary contractor position with an immediate start and extends through October 2026 subject to discretion.
The contract IT Senior project manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a project to enhance the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) system.
This role plans, executes, and delivers IT projects on time, in budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities.
Throughout the lifecycle of the project, responsibilities include creating the detailed project plan, setting milestones, following a stage-gate process, managing the project team activities, tracking and mitigating project issues and risks, and communicating project status.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Direct complex IT projects that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders
Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
Manage financial forecasts and provide on-going budget variance and scope change requests, and participate in the budget-resolution process
Foster partnerships with program / project stakeholders and sponsors to define success criteria and metrics
Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of project
Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered
Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company
Continually update relevant stakeholders of project status and publish accurate and professional project status reports
Serve as a subject matter expert to regularly brief key stakeholders on various aspects of assigned initiatives
Represent the project in various project governance and inter-departmental forums
Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
Ensure all projects meet success parameters and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Ensure realistic and reliable resource plans across the project, focusing on the availability and commitment of appropriately skilled resources
Identify, clarify, track and manage requirements, risks/opportunities, decisions and issues, remove barriers, resolve project issues and escalate as appropriate
Partner with program management for contributions to overall reporting and status

10+ years of project management experience establishing and delivering IT projects, especially large company, global deployments
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading IT CPQ implementations preferable
Prosci certified change practitioner preferred
