Summary

We're looking for a Principal level ML/AI Audio & Acoustics Engineer to build ultra lowlatency audio and speech enhancement models for nextgeneration ANC hearables. You'll work with ML, acoustics, and DSP experts to advance audio capture, hearing enhancement, and realworld device performance.

What you'll do:

• Build and evaluate deep learning models for speech enhancement, noise suppression, separation, dereverberation, and classification.

• Support data collection, curation, preprocessing, and augmentation.

• Prototype models in Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and validate against audio datasets.

• Optimize models for embedded/mobile deployment (quantization, pruning, compression).

• Partner with acoustics engineers to integrate ML with microphones, speakers, and arrays.

• Assist with lab measurements, testing, and performance benchmarking.

• Document model design decisions and results.

What you bring:

• PhD or researchheavy background

• Firstauthor publications in audio ML / audiolanguage modeling

• Experience in research labs or audio industry

• Interdisciplinary background across EE, CS, signal processing, and ML

Domain Experience (Audio AI / Audio Reasoning)

• Audio foundation models

• Generative audio

• Audio tokenization & representation learning

• Multimodal transformers

• Audio-language/text alignment

• Audio models that reason with language models

• Experience with speech enhancement, separation, or audio ML tasks.

• Experience with ondevice/edge ML (TinyML, quantization).

• Data labeling/augmentation or largescale training pipeline experience.

• Strong C/C++ for deployment.

• Solid grounding in traditional acoustics & audio DSP
