Job description

The HVAC Refrigeration Technician will primarily work on commercial HVAC systems, providing expert installation, maintenance, and repair services. This role involves regular travel between sites and requires proficiency with standard HVAC tools. The technician will be an integral member of a small team, ensuring optimal system performance and excellent customer service.

Compensation

  • Competitive Pay DOE
  • Full Time Work Available
  • Employer contribution - 50% toward Medical Insurance

  • Overtime Available - 1.5x pay on jobs after 5pm

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial HVAC refrigeration systems
  • Perform routine system maintenance and diagnostics
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC refrigeration issues
  • Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA standards
  • Conduct refrigerant recovery and charging
  • Use standard HVAC tools effectively
  • Communicate with customers to explain issues and solutions
  • Travel regularly between job sites as required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC refrigeration
  • EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification
  • Skilled in HVAC system installation and electrical wiring
  • Proficient in refrigerant recovery and charging
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Effective customer communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or certification in HVAC or refrigeration
