Job Title: 3rd Shift Material Handler

Job Summary: The 3rd shift Material Handler position at our Dodge Manufacturing facility in Greenville, SC will report directly to a Production Supervisor. This individual will work from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am from Sunday through Thursday and every other Friday, when required for business conditions. The Material Handler position will require to obtain Powered truck certification.
For well over a century, the Dodge® line of bearings, gearing and power transmission components have helped manufacturers in numerous industries increase the productivity and profitability of their operations. By focusing on each industry and concentrating on its specific needs, we have developed innovative product solutions and advanced technologies that help improve output, decrease downtime, and enhance system value.
At the Greenville, South Carolina plant, we manufacture Industrial speed reducers that are used in bulk material handling. Such as the aggregate and grain industries to load ships and barges, water/waste water treatment facilities, to move material on conveyors in rock quarries, concrete plants, asphalt plants and mines. Our products are also used on theme park rides, airport baggage conveyors, power plants, warehouse conveying applications like Walmart and Amazon and food and beverage processing.
* Please note that the starting pay for this position is $23.15 with a 5% shift differential. There is a progression review and pay increase process at 3, 6, and 12 months if you're performing, and you can earn up to $27.10 per hour after one year. *
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot returned/damaged material
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons
• Ensure that shipments match the customer order and determine the best packaging option
• Maintain good housekeeping in shipping/receiving
• Able to learn multiple processes and fill in where needed
• Responsible for processing daily shipments and verifying the accuracy of receipt to purchase orders
• Identify and report shortages, damaged goods, or other discrepancies
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math and communication skills
• Computer and keyboard proficiency to work within a windows environment
• Powered truck certification
Physical Requirements:
• Routinely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Close vision and depth perception
• Routinely reach with hands and arms and use hands to fingers
• Frequently required to stand and walk
