Job description

General Purpose

The Lender/Manager develops, implements, and supports the growth of the Bank’s lending and deposit processes. The position is responsible for the development and retention of banking relationships with Alpine Bank customers, in their assigned location. Actual pay and Officer level will be commensurate with experience. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develops strategies to meet the credit and investment needs of customers by selling Alpine Bank products directly or through referrals to other areas of the Bank.
  • Executes sales plans to meet branch goals. Develops strategies for maintaining and further expanding existing accounts. Makes recommendations for process improvement as they see fit.
  • Develops and mentors branch leadership and staff.
  • Ensures successful loan and deposit operations of their assigned location(s).
  • Proactively prospects current and potential banking client for opportunities to provide deposit, loan, or other financial products and services. Cross-sells establishment products and services as appropriate based on client suitability.
  • Compiles loan packages and facilitates negotiations of loan structures with applicants, including fees, loan repayment options and other credit terms.
  • Prospects and maintains long-term relationships with clients and business partners.
  • Manages the branches loan portfolio to meet Alpine Bank’s strategic goals.
  • Participation and involvement in activities that support the community.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the market, competition, profitability, and aligns department’s work with the locations goals.
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

  • Supervises appropriate Branch staff in their assigned duties.
  • Oversees all functions of talent management in their location(s), including but not limited to, hiring and performance management.

Education or Formal Training:

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Masters Degree preferred. 
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver’s License is required.

Experience:

  • Commercial banking, retail or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership and teamwork preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis.

Working Conditions

Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.  Travel to conferences, meetings and branch locations on a regular basis is necessary.

Physical Activities:

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee also may have to lift up to 25 pounds.
