Job description

General Purpose
The Relationship Manager works closely with Loan Officer(s) and Bank customers to successfully manage and enhance the customer relationship.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between location officers and back office lending personnel, including booking new loans and renewals.
  • Understand customer relationships and loan officer requirements, communicate as appropriate with customer, and gather all necessary information and documentation for new loan requests, renewals and modifications.
  • Proficient in identifying, evaluating, and reviewing required loan and financial documentation.
  • Prepare the weekly past due, overdraft and maturing loan lists and assist in the collection of past due loans.
  • Analyze and prepare consumer loan packets and manage the process through to closure.
  • Provide administrative assistance to commercial, consumer and branch loan officers.
  • Prepare appropriate loan disbursement entries (cashier's checks, deposit, wire transfer etc.) on signing date, in coordination with loan disbursement instructions provided by Loan Processor.
  • Work with Title Companies and Loan Admins as needed to clear requirements and complete closing.
  • Successfully manage Loan Document exceptions, working with lenders and clients as needed for resolution.
  • Review Loan Documents prior to closing.
  • Communicate with customers as needed for payment collection.
  • Successfully serve as a key contact point for bank customers.
  • Manage officer pipeline opportunities and support follow-up/outreach.
  • Work with CSR's to establish requested/required deposit accounts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide Outstanding Customer Service through courteous, knowledgeable and professional communication, whether in person, via electronic communication, or telephone.
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of general banking policies/procedures, including an understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of Alpine Bank Consumer and Commercial Credit Policy and Process. Intermediate-level mathematical skills and keyboard navigation.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, and exercise good judgement.
  • Self-motivated with strong ability to work independently.
  • Pro-active problem solver.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Adaptable to Change.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, manage pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office (including but not limited to) Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • An understanding of financial data, ratios, security instruments, insurance, title work, and regulatory documentation is preferred.

Education or Formal Training:
  • An Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school, or knowledge typically gained through a minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in a high demand, multi-tasked professional administrative or secretarial position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Notary Public is a plus.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Drivers' License, required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid NMLS License, required.

Experience:
  • Previous bank lending or Relationship Management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a Customer Service Representative role is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis.

Working Conditions
Working Environment:
This individual will work in a climate controlled, fast-paced office environment with prolonged periods of sitting. Occasional weekends, after normal hours and/or holidays work may be required. Some driving may also be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with arms, talk or hear and use hands to finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and may occasionally use ladders for a variety of tasks. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 10-55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 20-25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
