Job description

Nestled in the "Gateway to the Redwoods", Adventist Health Howard Memorial takes pride in its legacy of providing exceptional, high-quality care since 1928. We are comprised of a state-of-the-art 74,000 square foot facility, with four surgery suites, an on-site farm-to-fork restaurant and 25 beautiful private rooms designed with healing and comfort in mind. We provide a wide-range of primary and specialty care services to best serve our community. Willits is home to excellent trails and nature areas for hikers, campers and bicyclists. Job Summary:

Operates the restaurant point of sale system as the cashier, stocks restaurant supplies, ensures proper set up, cleans and stocks food inventories, maintains cleanliness of public areas, maintains and delivers customer needs and service.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • SERV Safe certification or equivalent: Preferred in CA and HI

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

  • Food Handler-ANSI (FH-ANSI): Required

Essential Functions:

  • Receives, prepares, and delivers customer orders in efficient manner. Performs a variety of simple and routine tasks related to the preparation and serving of food; cleans kitchen area and cooking utensils.
  • Operates cash register and stocks restaurant supplies when needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in work area and promptly reports needed maintenance or repair of equipment. Maintains the cleaning and temperature log. Cleans the kitchen areas and cooking utensils. Operates dishwashing, peeling and other mechanical equipment.
  • Sets up and serves patient trays. Carries dishes and foods between kitchen and serving lines. Transports and stores supplies. Washes and cuts vegetables and fruits.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
