Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to gauge the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to design individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and specific needs.
• Utilize effective, evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and essential self-care techniques.
• Monitor client progress diligently, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to their evolving needs.
• Engage in integrated care by coordinating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Stay informed about current research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops to further enrich your skills.
• Advocate for mental health awareness by addressing stigma and helping our patients meet their needs effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with individuals affected by mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and related conditions. Clients may vary in age and background, allowing you to use your therapeutic skills to support a broad population. Through your work, you will help clients navigate their emotional challenges, fostering resilience and recovery in an empathetic and non-judgmental environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Demonstrated ability to establish trusting therapeutic relationships through outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, sympathy, and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients’ experiences and challenges are essential.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are needed to effectively manage your workload and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within community health settings or with addiction-related issues is a plus.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices will be an advantage.
• Ongoing training in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly CBT and DBT, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of $90,000 – $100,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
