Position Overview

Active Path Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will be an integral part of our mission to deliver high-quality counseling services. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the mental health status of clients, develop tailored therapeutic interventions, and support individuals on their journey towards mental wellness.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from anywhere while maintaining a focus on patient care. You will be equipped with advanced technology and telehealth tools to effectively connect with clients, conduct assessments, and deliver therapy sessions. Our practice utilizes an electronic health record (EHR) system to streamline documentation and enhance communication within the team, ensuring that you have easy access to client information and care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, including their emotional, psychological, and social well-being.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clients' unique needs, preferences, and goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, adapting treatment modalities to address a diverse range of mental health issues.
• Regularly monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care.
• Offer referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or social services, when clients require additional support.
• Engage in continuous professional development and reflect on best practices to improve therapeutic methodologies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care, discussing cases during team meetings and providing updates on client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client demographic, addressing various mental health challenges including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Our practice values cultural competence, and you will be expected to tailor your approach to meet the needs of clients from various backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• A deep understanding of various mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and cultural competency in therapy.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to remain grounded in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing culturally responsive therapy and utilizing inclusive practices.
• Comfortable with EHR systems and proficient in using technology to enhance client engagement.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment to improve patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges between USD 70,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
