Job description
Job Title: MUMPS Database Administrator
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer MUMPS-based databases and applications.
- Monitor system performance, perform tuning, and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop scripts and routines to automate maintenance tasks.
- Perform regular data backups and ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to support application upgrades and system changes.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide support for integration with other healthcare systems (e.g., VistA, RPMS).
- Proven experience as a MUMPS Database Administrator or Developer.
- Solid understanding of MUMPS (M) programming language and database structure.
- Experience with healthcare systems such as VistA, RPMS, or similar platforms.
- Experience in operating environments such as GT.M, Cach , or InterSystems IRIS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of data privacy standards and regulations in healthcare (HIPAA).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with InterSystems Cach or IRIS.
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience in a government or large healthcare organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
