Position Summary:
The Sr. Card amp; Digital Payments Specialist performs a variety of Card amp; Digital Payments functions in a timely and accurate manner according to established guidelines and procedures. The role maintains advanced knowledge of assigned Card amp; Digital Payments duties. This position completes commercial and consumer tasks related to debit, credit and gift card activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Member Service amp; Communication
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and accurate service to internal and external customers for debit, credit and Zelle related inquiries.
  • Process and monitor incoming calls, work orders and service requests.
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with all departments to promote teamwork and high-quality member service.
Fraud Prevention amp; Risk Management
  • Analyze transactions and fraud alerts for suspicious activity.
  • Conduct research to identify possible fraud and minimize exposure to financial loss.
  • Implement fraud prevention policies and techniques.
Card amp; Claims Processing
  • Handle daily claims which include issuing credits, ordering new cards, updates to the claims database.
  • Process compromised debit and credit cards.
  • Complete periodic requests for department-related activities including but limited to gift card orders, plastic card stock orders, client token administration and orders, MDES provisioning, close fraud cases, Reg E claims.
Reporting, Compliance amp; Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure general ledger reconcilements are completed and submitted.
  • Assist with projects including vendor interaction, internal communication, and marketing efforts.
  • Actively look for and recommend process improvements.
Organizational Engagement
  • Represent the credit union with professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all interactions and responsibilities.
  • Represent and uphold the Achieva Brand Frame.
  • Support leadership initiatives that position the credit union as a top employer.
  • Participate in annual training or as required by BSA and the Privacy Act.
  • Perform other essential functions as needed or assigned.
  • Travel may be required on occasion.
  • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends or holidays as needed to meet member and business demands.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ related card processing experience.
  • 3-5 years problem resolution experience.

  • None

  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Intermediate Windows-based PC computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate common office equipment and 10-key calculator.

This role operates in a flexible environment and may include hybrid work, in-field visits, and time in an office setting at Corporate Headquarter and/or Achieva Branch. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and communicate effectively via phone, video, and electronic messaging. The position may require extended periods of sitting or standing and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
