FP&A Manager - ASD

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As FP&A Manager supporting the Abrasive Systems Division (ASD), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Driving the ASD finance operational rhythm (Strategic, Operating, quarterly, monthly, weekly), assuring alignment and process standardization in financial aspects
• Support weekly & monthly financial management processes, reviews, and reporting
• Connect operational actions to financial planning to drive accountability & execution
• Leverage analytical tools, risk analysis approaches, data analytics and statistical assessment to enhance understanding of financial performance and outlook
• Support budgeting and spending analysis processes for R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Admin functions within the division
• Collaborate with other division FP&A leaders, SIBG FP&A, and Corporate FP&A to improve processes and analytical approaches
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Seven (7) years of finance experience working in private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• MBA or graduate degree in Finance from an accredited institution
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and conflicting deadlines
• Solid business knowledge and acumen as well as strategic thinking mindset
• Thinks broadly of intersections between business, financial, and economic data
• Creative problem solving - ability to work with a wide variety of functional teams to address key issues
• Ability to translate data into meaningful financial insights and analysis
• Previous experience in a Business Finance role
• Self-starter with the ability to drive change
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Experience leading others and contributing on cross-functional teams
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Risk management analysis skills
• Experience with Longview
• Experience with developing Power BI tools

Work location:

• Work location: This rolefollows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN

Travel:May include upto10% Domestic/International
