A seaweed job typically involves the cultivation, harvesting, processing, or research of seaweed for various industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and biofuels. What does a typical workday look like for a seaweed harvester?

The day involves traveling to designated coastal areas, carefully gathering seaweed using specialized tools, sorting and cleaning the harvest, and safely transporting it for processing or sale. Teamwork is instrumental, as tasks are often performed in groups to ensure efficiency and safety in sometimes unpredictable weather conditions.
