Position Summary: Commercial Programmer II

AVDG is seeking a programmer with experience in developing advanced custom control system programs and user interfaces using one or more the following platforms:

  • Crestron: Simpl Windows, Simpl Sharp/Simpl Sharp Pro, VTPro-E, CH5/html5
  • QSC: Q-Sys Designer including lua scripting
  • AMX: Netlinx.TPDesign
  • Extron: Global Configurator/Plus/Pro

Industry certifications from these manufacturers in addition to InfoComm certifications (such as CTS) are preferred, but not required.
This position requires a communicative, collaborative individual with a unique ability to work with all levels of clients, both internal and external. The selected candidate must be detail-oriented, client focused, and able to work in a fast-paced organization while prioritizing their workload.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Control systems programming for platforms listed above, including control code, GUI development, and system/user documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering on control requirements.
  • Work with client and project team, as needed, on GUI approvals and workflow.
  • Support FE and/or project team on the commissioning of projects.
  • Understand and meet all deadlines.
  • Interact with Project Team to achieve complete and functional program.
  • Provide end user testing, training, and end to end system integration.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience as an Audio Visual Programmer using Crestron, Extron, QSC, and/or others.
  • Degree in computer science, computer systems engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Keen ability to support the installation, troubleshoot and help maintain complex Audio Visual Systems of multiple types.
  • Experience installing and testing code remotely and on site.
  • Experience working with clients in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Highly skilled in oral and written communication - clear, direct, detailed.
  • Independent work ethic highly motivated to completing a job done and exceeding client expectations.

Pay Rate:$120,000 - $140,000/ yr depending on background and experience.
