Job description

As a HSE Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility within our Process Technology operations. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting sustainability. 

You will report directly to our Field Services HSE Manager and work full-time ( Monday to Friday) on-site at our LNG Heat Exchangers Manufacturing Plant located in Palmetto, FL (Tampa Area). This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule. 

In this role, you will impact the organization by implementing effective health, safety, and environmental programs that minimize risks and enhance operational efficiency.

  • 7 or more years of experience in HSE, with emphasis on industrial safety with strong track record in leading successful HSE programs and improvement of safety culture and overall HSE performance
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices, with the ability to apply them effectively in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Proven ability to develop positive relationships and collaboration with Production teams to improve the safety culture
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders to build consensus
  • Strong project management and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Experience in environmental management and compliance (air, water and waste)
  • Strong experience in incident investigation and reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement and lessons learned
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in HSE management systems and tools
  • Some flexibility to eventually work off normal hours and conduct Case Management
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office package and use of digital systems
WE VALUE (not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science or in a related field.
  • OSHA 30h training, ASP or CSP (certified or in progress)
  • Experience in ISO 45001 is a plus
  • Experience in HSE management of manufacturing or heavy industry mechanical / welding and construction areas is a plus
  • Pro-active behavior to engage employees at all levels.
  • Passion for to HSE excellence

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the Plant's HSE team through daily prioritization of work or key deliverables in a fast-paced environment, delegate and follow-up to drive accountability,
  • Develop, implement and execute the Honeywell Process Technology HSE strategies and programs to achieve the business unit's business goals.
  • Work in partnership with the Plant's Leaders to promote, maintain and continuously improve the Safety Culture.
  • Ensure full compliance with all internal and Regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements, permits, and certifications.
  • Conduct and coordinate risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, review, update and deploy Safe Work Procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
  • Coordinate HSE training to new hires and existing employees
  • Deploy and manage safety and industrial hygiene initiatives to continually improve performance of HSE programs and processes.
  • Lead and support incident investigations with Root Cause Analysis methodology.
  • Track HSE related actions and compliance tasks to closure using our HSE Management System (MST).
  • Identify and implement HSE related projects
