Job description

Work schedule: Overnight Shift (8:00 pm - 8:00 am)

Pay Shift Differential:  Regular hours ($1.00);  Overtime hours (.64) 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the plant, including floors, work areas, and common spaces
  • Clean up oil and resin spills, hydraulic leaks, and other hazards promptly and safely
  • Replace oil absorption materials (pads, rags, etc.) as needed
  • Sweep, mop, and perform general housekeeping duties
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables
  • Assist with organizing tools, materials, and workspace areas
  • Support 5S/Lean Initiatives 
  • Follow all safety procedures and environmental guidelines
  • Operate a forklift as needed to support production operations 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Secondary Job Functions:

  • Insert wire or plastic handles into plastic pails 
  • Insert gasket, cap or plug into plastic covers 
  • Orients finished parts on pallet/box as per production order 
  • Supply worksite with raw materials (handles/gaskets) 
  • Keep work area clean and organized for safety 
  • Continuously monitor quality of product and follow established protocols when defects are found 
  • Willing to work reasonable overtime as needed 
  • Rework in HFI as needed 
  • Attend all safety meetings 
  • Relief production employees with 1 lunch break 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment 
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification upon hire)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training 
  • Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions 
  • Troubleshoot problems and report issues
  • Must work well in team environment
  • Ability to be on foot for up to 11 hours per shift {gets 3 breaks for resting = 1 hour}
  • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs. repeatedly.
