At Vermont Cider Company, our maintenance team plays a key role in keeping our production equipment, facility systems, and operations running safely and efficiently. We are looking for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role
Vermont Cider Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in a beverage manufacturing environment. This role is a great fit for someone with strong mechanical and electrical skills who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. PLC experience is desired, especially troubleshooting or programming experience. Candidates with strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills experience preferred.
Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday Four 10-hour shifts 2:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m.
Compensation Tier 1: $24.00 - $27.50/hr, 0-2 years of experience Tier 2: $27.50 - $31.50/hr, 3-5 years of experience Tier 3: $31.50 - $36.00/hr, 6-9 years of experience Tier 4: $36.00 - $40.00/hr, 10 + years of experience
Pay is based on skills, experience, shift, equity, and business needs. Additional $2 per hour shift differential.
Opportunities for advancement and wage progression are available through training, skill development, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production, packaging, and facility equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime and support equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related issues.
  • Support equipment changeovers, installations, adjustments, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Complete maintenance work orders, documentation, and parts usage records accurately.
  • Follow GMP, food safety, lockout/tagout, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Partner with production teams to identify issues, improve equipment performance, and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements
What We Are Looking For
  • Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, food, beverage, or similar environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • PLC experience is desired, especially troubleshooting or programming experience, but candidates with strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills experience preferred.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
